Meet Lou

I joined Ablelink as a Support Coordinator because I like their friendly and wholistic approach, backed up by a dedicated team that oozes with experience across the disability sector, NDIS and human services.

I consider myself a friendly and caring person who likes to get the job done. I enjoy getting to know the customer and their support team so that I can understand where they have come from and where they want to go to next. I work from a strength-based approach; your skills, passion and experience is always a great starting point for leaping off into the next adventure in life.

I have worked in direct disability support for over 10 years and more recently have been working as a support coordinator with the roll out of the NDIS across the outer east of Melbourne. Added with my 12 years as a community development worker in the outer east means that I bring to this role a rich understanding of outer east communities, services and local supports.

I have enjoyed the challenge of learning about the NDIS and sharing this learning journey with others also walking the same path. Aside from all things NDIS I am passionate about the environment and sustainability, getting my hands grubby in the garden, running ragged on a tennis court chasing a little green ball and must have at least one good cup of coffee per day to keep me smiling.
