As a person with disability and a carer, I have always been a strong advocate for better services and supports for people with disability. I am passionate about ensuring that people with disability are given opportunities to achieve their goals and lead a life of their own choosing.
For the last 10 years I have worked in the disability industry in a variety of roles. I started out in finance and was lucky enough to progress to a number of roles including as a case manager, group activity manager, quality coordinator and supporting people to transition to independent living. Whilst at Carers Victoria, I began supporting carers to pre-plan and get ready for the NDIS by running workshops, creating resources and supporting carers.I have a Diploma of Management (Community Services) and Cert IV in Disability Services and I am a registered foster carer. In my other current worklife, I work for Disability Services Consulting as the Business Manager and you may see me pop up from time to time in various workshops and webinars.I enjoy helping people to realise their goals and will always challenge, engage, support and explore opportunities for people with disability.
In my spare time, I like to spend time with family, friends and various pets and dabble in family history and eating chocolate!
