I first worked within the Disability Services field 14 years ago, during my second year at uni I haven’t looked back since.
I completed my Bachelor of Applied Science (Disability Studies) in 2005 and since then I have enjoyed working within a number of professional roles and programs, including Disability Support Worker – supported accommodation and children’s respite, Instructor (Band Two) – Adult Day services, Team Manager – Individual Support Services and Senior Team Manager roles – Individual Support Services and NDIS Support Coordination services.
I believe strongly in providing personalised and meaningful supports to all people and I love to be creative and develop tools that will benefit the participants I work with. Whether it be budget templates or braille rosters – I love the challenge of designing and building something that will be both useful and valuable.
In addition to my degree, I hold qualifications in Management, Business Leadership and Training and Assessment.
When I am not working at Ablelink, I enjoy spending time with my family and watching my children grow into kind, generous and funny little ladies. We love watching classic movies together and creating family adventures in the great outdoors.
